Henry Jenkins was born and raised in Beaufort County. He is a currently active duty military serving in the US Army for over a decade.

Henry is a natural born leader who is a product of St. Helena Island and has been dedicated to GGF since her inception in 2020. He has a strong love for family and community. Through GGF, Henry sheds light on the history of the Sea Islands and connects it to today, tomorrow and to the betterment of the people.

Jazmin- Chief Empress Nu is the Founder of Geechee Global Foundation and a proud native of Beaufort County. GGF was birthed from Jazmin’s deep passion and love for the Geechee culture and People. At an early age, she knew that a part of her purpose was to uplift and inspire those around her.

She has dedicated her mission in life to empower, uplift and serve.

Chief Empress Nu holds a Master’s degree in Marketing & Communication from Florida State University, with a concentration in Multicultural Marketing; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU).

Zaylaan SōLux is a devoted cultural preservationist, entrepreneur, and community advocate serving as a board member for The Geechee Global Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on elevating and preserving the richness of Geechee culture. A proud Geechee woman, Zaylaan carries a deep ancestral connection and lived wisdom that inform her holistic approach to community work, wellness, and legacy building.

Rooted on family-owned land in Beaufort County, South Carolina, she draws strength and purpose from generations of resilience, stewardship, and sacred tradition. As a three-time certified herbalist, she preserves and shares ancestral plant knowledge passed down through her lineage, using the land as both healer and teacher. Her work centers on restoring the bond between people and plants, with a particular focus on mineral deficiencies, inflammation, and generational wellness.

With a background in communications, herbalism, and business operations, she blends ancestral knowledge with modern tools to support erudition, cultural pride, and economic empowerment across Sea Island communities.

Zaylaan is committed to pouring into those who are in alignment with reconnecting to their roots, those who are ready to remember, reclaim, and rise. Her work is both a tribute to her ancestors and a living promise to her children and the generations to come.

Consul-General El, Jaleel-Hu was sworn into office on 16-Jumada al-awwal-1442 after unanimous confirmation by the People of Lenapehoking, Al Morocco. Jaleel is fluent in both English and Mandarin. Jaleel has over 20 years of professional experience in commerce/trading, entertainment, and community development/public affairs. Jaleel was born in Lenapehoking (Newark/Irvington, New Jersey).

Jaleel-Hu El, a resident of Lenapehoking State, Al Moroccan Empire brings more than 12 years of international commercial experience to his position as Consul General.

Before his election as Consul General, Consul General Jaleel-Hu El served as the Executive Director in Shanghai, China for the Autochthonous Fashion Show International. There, he developed the Asiatic community and assisted in the growth and management of Asiatic businesses from across the planet, which included recognition in the US public media, TED Conference at Germany. Jaleel also served previously as the Director of Asiatic development at the Black X organization all across China. He earned numerous commendations and achievement awards for his meritorious service to the young Asiatic community, both working professionals and students.

Prior to working at China, Consul General Jaleel-Hu El enjoyed a career spanning nine years at the United States financial industry. His experiences lends itself over multiples positions, including but not limited to, Investment Banker, Commercial Banker, Financial Analyst, and several financial managerial roles.

Among his many responsibilities at the international level, Jaleel has experience in: developing the overall financial corporate budget, employee and personnel management, contractual negotiations and vendor negotiations.

Among the awards, honors, letters and achievements he earned were:
• Community Organizer of the Year from Appreciate Africa Organization headquartered at Beijing, China;
• Event of the Year from Appreciate Africa Organization headquartered at Beijing, China;
• Documentary on Successful foreign Nationals at Shanghai TV Station;

Okiya serves on the board of GGF and holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Relations. She is currently pursuing her degree to become a Registered Nurse. Okiya is dedicated to children's mental health and empowering others to achieve their full potential. She loves to sing, take walks on the beach, and journal. Additionally, she is the founder/CEO of Kiyah’s Natural Essentials and is committed to enhancing the health of those around her, especially in her home community.
